Smart Solar won the GIMA Export Achievement Award 2014 for its strong growth in the French and German markets. The winners of the GIMA Awards were announced in front of 400 guests at the Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales on 17
th July.
Smart Solar has become well known for its tri-lingual retail packaging, point of sale and merchandising solutions that help retailers to drive sales. To support its growth in Europe Smart Solar exhibits at a number of European exhibitions including Spoga/GAFA, JDC and at regional shows.
The European sales team has grown over the last 12 months and a French speaking administrator has been appointed in the UK head office to deal with orders and deliveries.
The judges commented, “In the last 12 months Smart Solar has been blazing a trail within the international market, and it was this dedication that appealed to the judges. From achieving a major presence within the French garden market, to a new sales team including invaluable multi-lingual members, an ongoing presence at international trade shows and unrivalled commitment to Glee, Smart Solar has gone over and above with the results to prove its passion.”
Smart Solar’s Metal Silhouette Globe Stake Light was also a finalist in the Outdoor Leisure, Garden Structures and Features Award.
