Smart Solar, the specialist solar powered garden products manufacturer, is showing a number of new products at Gafa as it looks to build on its recent European success.
Décor by day and light by night collections include Bright Eye Cats and Bright Eye Owls that are attractive garden features that illuminate during darkness with subtle solar panels lighting the two white LED lights. Smart Solar also has some new light string ranges that are available in trilingual Try-Me packaging and merchandising units to encourage impulse purchases.
With a statue of a girl and a boy sheltering underneath the umbrella that the water cascades down before reaching the bowl, the Umbrella Fountain is a new solar powered water feature that provides the sound of running water without the need for mains power. The new Frog Lilypad cascade has 3 lily pad shaped bowls with a spitting frog perched in the top one, from where the water gently cascades down. The pump is powered by a remote solar panel that can be placed up to 5 metres away in the optimum position for sunlight.
Reflecting on the success of its Seville lantern, Smart Solar is introducing two new Moorish style lanterns at Gafa. The Tangier is a metal lantern with an antique copper finish, whilst the Marrakesh is a cream coloured metal lantern, both having intricate decorative metal work and glass panels to let the light through at night. The cream church candle is powered by an integrated solar panel, making the lanterns ideal for outside entertaining on patios and in gardens.
Smart Solar’s MD Jonathan Stobart said, “We have enjoyed outstanding growth in the French and German retail markets that we are keen to expand on with the introduction of a number of new products for Europe at Gafa. We are anticipating even greater growth in this our 10th anniversary year.“
